ASSIA 2015 will be held in National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), August 24-27, 2015.
NTNU, founded in 1946, is a vibrant learning community that has long been recognized as one of Taiwan’s elite institutions of higher education. It was formerly an institute for teachers’ education, as suggested in the title Normal, that later emerged as a comprehensive university. As being established on the faith that education is the root of our nation, NTNU has dedicated itself to achieve distinctive scholarship and the development of many influential educators and researchers.
Today, NTNU encompasses three campuses (Heping campus, Gong-Guan campus, and Lin-kou campus), and consists of 10 colleges that include 32 departments and 22 graduate institutes, offering a wide variety of courses and degrees ranging from the arts and humanities, education, sociology, business management, athletics, to the sciences. With the Heping campus (Main Campus) located in the hub of Taipei City, NTNU not only offer an active academic climate, but embraces cultural diversity of Taiwan. Also, NTNU is internationally known for the Mandarin Training Center, which attracts more than a thousand students from over 60 countries each year to undertake studies in Chinese language and culture.
Graduate Institute of Library and Information Studies (GLIS) conducts cutting-edge research on three major areas including knowledge organization, information behavior, and information distribution. In addition to the above-mentioned cross-disciplinary research areas, GLIS also excels and promises to cultivate in three domains: (1) Digital Collections and Electronic Publishing; (2) Information Literacy and E-Learning; (3) Internet Technologies and Web-based Information Services.

From Taoyuan Airport to NTNU Main Campus
Taxi queues are outside the Arrival Halls of both terminals. To ensure the safety of passengers, only the taxis approved by the Aviation Police Bureau are permitted to operate in Taoyuan Airport.
Taxis are available at Taoyuan Airport 24 hours a day. A typical fare to Taipei is approximately NTD1,100 to NTD1,500. We suggest you to write down your destination, name of hotel and address in Chinese since some drivers do not speak in English.

Where to buy your tickets: Ticket counters are located in the Arrival Passenger reception areas of both Terminals, T1 & T2.

Step 2: Take the MRT to Guting Station
Please take Line 2 Tamsui-Xinyi Line(to Daan/ to Xiangshan) from Taipei Main Station , and transfer to Line 3 Songshan-Xindian Line(to Taipower Building/ to Xindian) at Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Station. To the venue, please get off at Guting Station Exit 5.
